Our Beliefs

We are part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. As such, our beliefs align with those of our fellowship.

Local Outreach

We cherish the opportunities we have to provide benevolence to families in Sudbury and the surrounding areas that are in need. This looks like providing necessities and groceries to those in need. In the winter, we collect and purchase hand warmers, winter wear and other warm materials to distribute to the homeless. In the spring, we purchase tarps to provide shelter. We encourage our church to take part in collecting or purchasing items to donate.

2023 Annual Backpack Drive Success

Back to school shopping can be stressful for many families struggling to afford new materials. With our backpack drive, we can give tons of families in Sudbury peace of mind about having school supplies. Many people from our church participate in purchasing materials and then we distribute them at a local park each year.

This year, we collected and gave out over 300 backpacks with supplies! We look forward to beating that number next year! Stay tuned!

The Coldest Night of the Year

In 2024 we fundraised $2700 for The Coldest Night of the Year! We hosted a bake sale after church and many of you baked, walked and donated! Can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Each winter, we encourage families in our church to take part in The Samaritan Centre’s Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. The purpose of the event is for participants to walk 5km in the wet and cold to discover the adversities homeless face in the winter months and activate us to reach out in care for them in our city.

Indigenous Ministries (Moose Factory / Moosonee Ontario)

In 2024 a group from North Edge went to the Moose Cree Territory to partner with local assemblies on both the island of Moose Factory and the community of Moosonee. Given the unique geographical location, these two communities share a history as well as customs and culture. Our desire is to continue to send teams to work through the local churches to bring the hope of Jesus to an incredible location that is filled with despair.

The Well (Blind River)

The Well is a Christian-led youth center in Blind River, Ontario, where faith and fellowship come together to empower young minds and spirits. We offer a fun and safe environment for youth to connect and create lasting memories through supervised recreation. From cooking and art classes to our free soccer program, our center provides mentorship for the children and teens in our community. As well, our Food Stability program provides nutritious meals to vulnerable community members without judgment or question.

Eleviva (Europe)
Eleviva‘s mission is fulfilled when we elevate the lives of leaders and their ministries. We build relational bridges between Europe and Canada that increase leadership capacity for Kingdom-work and more expressions of God‘s family that serve the deep spiritual, emotional and physical needs in Europe. We train leaders. We help plant churches and other communities of faith. We serve marginalized people in challenging circumstances. We lift European leaders to new heights as they walk out their callings. All in the name and love of Jesus Christ, Redeemer of the world.

Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoebox Drive

Each Christmas as a church we distribute and collect shoeboxes filled with gifts to be sent out to children all over the world. Not only will kids world-wide get to celebrate Christmas, but they will also hear the Gospel for likely the first time ever when they receive one. We do this by collecting shoeboxes in-person and encouraging our online community to pack virtual boxes at www.packabox.ca!
